JOB SUMMARY
The Domestic Sales Manager for Archery administers all aspects of domestic dealer and distributor sales, and serves as an internal and external expert on the sales aspects of our archery product lines, pricing and configurations, as well as those of our direct competitors. Daily considerations include proactive management and direction of the independent rep sales force, and direct communication with key accounts.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
To develop and support the company’s sales strategy:

Provide input to the definition of the strategic plan and direction for the sales division

Establish short- and long-term strategies to improve performance in areas of responsibility

Support the cross-functional needs of the company in Sales, R&D, Product Development, Planning, and Administrative areas for archery products
To drive, monitor and track sales:
-
Proactive management of the independent rep sale force
-
Address any customer concerns by working cross functionally with all departments
-
Gain market and distributor service information by regularly contacting dealers
-
Respond to inquiries from customers, dealers and distributors about products, questions, orders, and technical advice either by phone, fax, written correspondence or e-mail
To contribute to the development of the product lines:

Conduct information sessions for Account Services department

Provide input and assist in the development of the archery forecast

Collect information from all market sources on new products needs
To develop and support the Easton and Beman brands:
-
Coordinate all customer contacts, both personally and through Account Services
-
Maintain individual relationships with key customers
-
Support the cross-functional needs of the company in the planning, credit and administrative areas
-
Assist the Director of Sales and Marketing with management of sales budget, expense budget and ongoing performance to goals
To be the expert on Easton archery competitors:
-
Maintain pricing and sales program database on Easton archery competition
Non Essential Functions
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
MIMIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum 3-5 yrs of Hunting industry sales management experience at the national and/or key account level

Working knowledge of archery industry sales practices

Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or manufacturing

Excellent problem solving, organizational, and communication skills

Dedicated customer focus

Self-motivated and team orientation; with the ability to support and defend company policy

Demonstrated ability to organize and lead people

Strong ability to negotiate and solve practical problems

Ability to interpret a variety of written and oral instructions

Strong ability to deal with strict deadlines and multiple tasks

Must be able to travel 20% to 40%
