Paris, Texas, (March 25, 2007)
In a show of complete dominance at the Paris ASA, Easton shooters showed why they lead the major 3D circuits in wins and top podium finishes.
Besides slightly higher wind speeds than normal, the weather was bright and sunny, making for terrific 3D shooting conditions. The Men Pro shooters took advantage and pushed their game to the upper limit. ASA sharpshooter, Nathan Brooks (pictured below middle), used the lightning fast, all-carbon Fatboy to take his first 3D shoot of the year by a single point. Brooks just edged out perennial favorite, Darrin Christenberry, who is coming off his personal-best year, and one of the top 3D seasons ever recorded by a pro. Christenberry tore up the 3D circuit using aluminum X7 Cobalt arrows last year, and his favorite blue shaft continues to work for him in 2007. Tommy Gomez gave a strong performance as well, and was rewarded with third place. Gomez also chose the precision of aluminum, but he prefers the UNI-bushing durability of the X7 Eclipse.
If you didn\'t shoot an Easton LightSpeed in the Women Pro division, you didn\'t make the podium cut at Paris. The all-LightSpeed trio of Jennie Richardson, Ginger Morehead and Alicia McHenry soundly ousted the competition. Richardson (pictured below), an ASA fan-favorite, shot a 456 with 10 X\'s, Morehead shot a 455 with 9 X\'s, and McHenry finished at 446 and 8 X\'s.
The Limited Pro division was also an all-arrow sweep, with top finger-shooters all launching Easton\'s precision-made A/C/E arrows. In the shoot-down round, it was Larry Goza (pictured below right) squeezing past Charlie Owens by one point and 2 X\'s, with Rodney Huffman rounding out the top three.
The top Senior Pros chose the precision of Easton aluminum to take first and second. Thomas Crowe used X7 Eclipse to shoot an impressive 472 with 10 X\'s, and beat the next closest competitor by thirteen points. Derry Null\'s X7 Cobalts and strong shooting propelled him into second place.
The next ASA 3D shoot is the Easton Georgia Pro/AM, and will be held April 27 - 29 at Augusta, Georgia.
